The senior lacrosse season is almost here and local papers are getting primed. Greg Sakaki from the Nanaimo Bulletin writes about the Nanaimo Timbermen getting set to break camp.
They call it the fastest sport on two feet, so lacrosse players in Nanaimo are about to start limbering up.
The Nanaimo Timbermen senior A lacrosse team starts training camp April 19 at Fuller Lake Arena in Chemainus.
The Western Lacrosse Association club has a pretty good idea of the bodies who will be reporting for camp this year.
“I think we’re pretty well there,” said Earl Nicholson, general manager of the T-men. “We were happy with the way we finished last year so we’ve basically been just trying to address the holes.”
