Toronto Rock forward Colin Doyle is the National Lacrosse League's Overall Player of the Week and Offensive Player of the Week for week No.8.
Doyle had an impressive nine-point effort in Saturday night's 16-13 win over the Philadelphia Wings. He scored at even strength, shorthanded, and on the power play. He added six assists and four loose balls for the first-place Rock.
Doyle's teammate, Sandy Chapman, has been named Defensive Player of the Week. Chapman made a difference all over the turf for the Rock. He forced one turnover and picked up seven loose balls, while adding one goal and one assist.
The Transition Player of the Week honors go to Jordan Hall of the Rochester Knighthawks.
In a 13-9 victory over the Edmonton Rush, Hall collected four assists and five loose balls.
Cody Jamieson of Rochester Knighthawks takes home the Rookie of the Week award. He helped the Knighthawks take down the Rush with one goal and one assist. He also added six loose balls.
