Roller derby and lacrosse... now that's a combo

Back in the 1980s the WWF (now WWE) had its Rock and Wrestling connection... well, now the Minnesota Swarm will attempt the lacrosse and roller derby connection.
In a crazy, yet probaby great cross-promotion, the Swarm is teaming up with two local roller derby teams.
The Dairyland Dolls play their rival Minnesota RollerGirls (MNRG) All-Stars in the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota in what is being billed as an attempt to set a modern roller derby attendance record.
The current record of 6,015 is held by the Rat City Roller Girls of Seattle.
To help break this record the Minnesota RollerGirls have paired up with the Swarm as part of an innovative cross-promotional event called “Seeing Double.”
The Swarm play a lacrosse game beginning at 7 pm, with the roller derby bout to follow immediately afterward. Norwegian Mafia, Marketing co-chair for the Minnesota RollerGirls, said that the doubleheader came about “When the owner of the Swarm contacted our marketing team and proposed doing an event together. He had been to one of our bouts and had a great time, and I think was really impressed by our fans who are a wildly varied, highly dedicated and appropriately raucous bunch.”
Good luck. I have to admit, if this was close to home I'd probably go.
