WLA draft - Beers selected first overall by Burnaby

The WLA draft took (still is going on as I post this)  place in Burnaby Tuesday night live online. The Burnaby Lakers had the first pick and selected Coquitlam Jr. Adanacs captain Matt Beers.
Here's how the rest of the first round shook down.
First Round
1. Burnaby Lakers - Matt Beers
2. Langley Thunder - Brodie McDonald
3. Burnaby Lakers - Colton Clark
4. Maple Ridge Burrards - Chris Seidel 
5. Coquitlam Adanacs.- Robbie Campbell
6. Burnaby Lakers - Scott Jones
7. Nanaimo Timbermen - Carlton Schuss


In the second round, Riley Loewen was selected first (eighth overall) by the Burrards, while the Thunder got a steal by selecting Jarrett Toll ninth overall with its second-round pick.
One of the more interesting stories in the second round came when the New Westminster Salmonbellies traded its 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks in this draft and another pick next year for Nanimo's 1st and 3rd round picks in 2013.
